Up Down Fish for Chromecast

My helpful screenshot

Up Down Fish was my first foray into writing games for Google’s Chromecast HDMI dongle. I partnered with a friend (Erik Bye) to create a multiplayer clone of the popular mobile game Flappy Bird.

We supported up to 6 players at once, and each player would connect to a Chromecast with their own mobile device. Like the original game itself, the mechanics were very simple: tap to swim higher, and fall lower if you don’t.

Up Down Fish is probably my most popular app, with currently over 50,000 downloads.
